Job Description:
*Conduct initial, qualification and surveillance quality system audits of suppliers in accordance with WAI documented requirements.
*Ensure that all WAI product and process technical and quality requirements are consistently followed by suppliers.
*Participate in the development and approval of new WAI products and/or engineering changes to existing supplied products.
*Participate on-site at supplier factories during sample (prototype) pre-production and production part manufacturing of WAI products.
*Review actual samples, data, measurement and test data and approve/disapprove as appropriate at the supplier factory.
*Communicate all product/process technical and quality information clearly, completely and on-time to WAI and to the supplier factory as appropriate.
*Participate in establishing inspection control plans at supplier factories, perform source inspection at the factory and report and summarize data for each lot to WAI.
*Prepare trend data on quality and delivery performance for all supplier and all products and report regularly to WAI.
*Review all required WAI and supplier technical and quality documentation with supplier representatives and correct/develop supplier as required to comply with all WAI technical and quality expectations.
*Directly participate in and drive immediate corrective and preventive action at supplier factories for all technical/quality issues found by WAI or at supplier factory.
*Develop supplier base to achieve high quality low cost on-time products to WAI, certified at the factory, requiring no further inspection by WAI upon receipt.
Requirement:
English technical speaking, reading, writing capability on high level.
*Computer-trained for word processing, spreadsheets, file management.
*Technical university degree
*Proficiency in reading blueprints/engineering drawings.
*Working knowledge of engineering materials.
*Electro/mechanical engineering degree preferred.
*3-year minimum work experience in manufacturing company.
*Experience with using common quality tools such as: SPC, FMEA,CP/CPK, etc.
*ISO9001,9002 &QS9000 training/working experience
*Frequent travel including to small town needed. |
