When you show interested in accounting, it means you have stepped in a senior management level. If you really have "time" to get it serious, I would advice you study "management accounting", instead of "finanical accounting". Because you will find mgt accounting is quite relevant to your career, and it definitely add value to your career portfolio.
Frankly speaking, calculation in accounting is not very difficult, but business sense and knowledge it requires are difficult. It may takes you at least 3 or 4 years to acquire accountant's qualification |
