So far as I know, IEC62612 is a Pre-Standard for Self-ballasted LED-lamps. IEC will get the final version for this standard later.
At this moment, EU has already has the Regulation No. 244/2009 for the Self-ballasted LED-lamps. In this Regulation, LED light bulb can skip the functional requirements and only needs to have
- Lamp Efficacy requirements
- Product information requirements (Energy Labelling)
By the way, please note that the above Regulation has not yet call up IEC62612. Instead, other standards are listed in its Annex, such as
Luminous efficacy Standard is EN 50285:1999
Lamp caps Standard is EN 60061:1993 and its amendments
Lamp lifetime Standard is EN 60969:1993 and its amendments |
