Thisspecificationcoverstheadhesion
requirementsofpressuresensitiveadhesivecoatedpartswhich
aresubjectedtolowornostressonthebondedsurfaceduring
shippingorafterassembly.Thesepartsareusuallymechani-
callyfastenedduringassemblyoperations.
1.1IfnoTypeisspecified,TypeIisassumed.

4.1RELEASELINER.Thereleaselinershalladheretothe
partsduringshipmentandstoragetoinsureprotectionofthe
adhesivecoating.Atthetimeofusage,thelinershallbe
readilyremovedwithouttearingordeformationofthepart.
4.2STORAGE.
4.2.1Theadhesivecoatedpartmustbeabletobebonded
afterstorageat40ÊCfor90days.
4.2.2Additionally,theadhesivecoatedpartmustwithstand
storageat60ÊCfor3days.
4.3ADHESION.Dependentuponthespecificapplication,
thedesignengineeristospecifywhichofthefollowing
requirementsareapplicable.
4.3.1CreepResistance.Oncebondedtotheappropriatesub-
strate,thepartmustremaininpositionwithoutshiftingfor7
daysat40ÊC.Asamplesetshallbeinspectedforcompliance
withthisrequirementaftereachofthefollowingconditions:
AInitial,bondedasreceived,standardconditions(25?
2ÊC,50%RH)
BBonded#16ÊC,<50%RH
